She looks taller and stronger than last year. All her jumps look much better. Agreed on the 3F3T and 3F. Hope she can clean them up by CoC. Same thing with the choreography, hopefully she can express the music when she's got more mileage on the program. She's still skating a bit like a little girl, her movements lack a certain sense of confidence/solidity/commitment. But then, she's only 15!

Yeah, she has still time to develop and hopefully Chinese Fed will heavily invest in her because she's the most promising female skater they've had since Lu Chen.

Great jumping ability, she just needs some polishing now.

Those two mistakes aside, all other jumps were high and very solid.

Thanks for making it happen, joeperryfan!

I got the translation in the opening post from wikipedia, but "grand prix" does make more sense. The Chinese name does not resemble "anta cup" at all

I think the website is going first name then last name. Maybe it is a good idea to capitalize the last name, whichever method is used.

Love ZiJun and her 3F3T - quite a future!! What happened to Bingwa?
Song seems to be in such delicate conditions these days, need strengthening.

There hasn't been official confirmation of an injury that I know of (just assumption/hearsay), but he withdrew from both his JGP assignments (France & Austria) this fall. Hopefully we'll hear something more definitive at some point.

Thanks for the Chinese Nationals link and name translations, jjane45!

    全国花样滑冰冠军赛
    Chinese National Figure Skating... Final???
    March 28-29, Qingdao

It seems like skaters qualify to the competition by points accumulated in domestic competitions. Top 12 for men and ladies, top 10 for ice dancing, and top 8 for pairs qualify.

    Participants: http://chnfs.org/archivers/1017 (direct pdf download)

Men: all top men are in, including ZHANG He who does not have domestic points from this season due to injury but competed internationally
Ladies: LI Zijun is on the list but reportedly will WD to prepare for WTT, ZHANG Kexin on the list, ZHANG Ying withdrew
Pairs: P/T, S/H not listed, PENG / ZHANG withdrew (preparing for WTT?)
Dance: HUANG / ZHENG withdrew (injury)

Live results page (!!!!) for 2013 National Cup
    http://chnfs.org/wp-content/uploads/...3nc4/index.htm

Some pages do not display the Chinese names correctly (Firefox here). If that happens to you too, go to character encoding in the browser and select Chinese simplified.

    Go YAN Han!

It sounds like the men's SP was poorly skated maybe except for YAN Han (3a, 4t, 3lz-2t | 81.44), currently leads with 15 points. On weibo he replied to a post about his score: Sigh, still not SB, all because I am too smart... (note: SB in Chinese is a common abbreviation for blockhead).
    ZHANG He (2A, 3Lz+3T, 3F | 65.76) in second.
    JIN Boyang (4T<<, 3A<, 3Lz+3T) in sixth.

    Ladies
    ZHAO Ziquan (3T+3T<, 3Lo, 2A | 50.63) narrowly in first
    ZHANG Kexin (3T+3T, 2Lz, 2A | 50.39)

    Pairs
YU Xiaoyu / JIN Yang 53.68
WANG Xuehan / WANG Lei 52.07 <- this new pair is picking up momentum
WANG Wenting / ZHANG Yan 51.41
