Thanks! Would you like to PM a moderator and have this title changed to something more general like "Chinese national (or domestic) competitions 2012-13 season"? You can change the title yourself if it's within 5 minutes of your post.

Based on this blog post Song Nan went into the SP with a swollen hip from a fall in practice.

Before the Junior last group I saw Nan is staggering up the stairs , I asked what happend to his leg, he said he slipped down on his hip in yesterday practice. He used some ice on it last night but seems dosen't work.still swelling.
    Top 4-6 men: Chen Peitong 67.33, Guan Jilin 64.21, Jin Boyang 64.10 (4t 1a 3lz3t).

Thanks a lot! I hope Song's injury isn't too serious!

Can you tell me if Sui/Han are listed in this "2012 National Figure Skating Grand Prix athletes list" document on the federation's site? http://chnfs.org/wp-content/uploads/...120913_par.pdf

Wow, Peng/Zhang are doing really well considering they've only been skating together for a few months, and she came straight out of an anonymous junior pair. I think she has a lot of potential. She's only 17(?), and she's already showing a bit more expressiveness than Dan Zhang. She also looks reasonably strong and athletic, and can get around the ice with a fair amount of speed and power, unlike some Chinese pairs ladies... If their LP is in as good of shape, then they look ready for the GP's, which would be quite a feat!

Also liking Han Yan's SP! It fits his style perfectly, and he's skating it with a lot of passion and expressiveness. Loving his footwork sequence, especially the first half -- so much fun! Also that 3A he hit was really stellar; it's looking more consistent than ever. Looking forward to his LP and the JGP appearances!

Sui/Han should be 隋文静/韩聪 I don't see them listed. But Wenting Wang/Yan Zhang are, they were 4th at nationals last year and the pair I thought would replace Sui/Han so maybe they are?

    Pang/Tong are not listed either?

Sui/Han are not competing because of a serious injury to Sui. They're hoping to return to ice by end of year ISU championships, but it's not clear they will be able to.

I wonder why they are still listed in their GP events then.

Allegedly huge splat fest for men LP. Final standings: 1 Yan Han (3lo fall, 4t pop, 139.54), 2 Wang Yi, 3 Jin Boyang, 4 Song Nan, 5 Guan Jinlin, 6 Chen Peitong

    Several mistakes in P/Z LP.

Thank you for the video links.

It's absolutely infuriating to see all these Chinese skaters, showing a very high level of skating but not being sent to any competitions by their eville federation.

Given how short Peng/Zhang have been skating together, their SP is really impressive. Huge +2 quality 3twist, 3toes and throw 3salchow. The program looked rather appalling but well it's early days (and Zhangs' programs always looked appalling so no surprise there ).

I think P/Z look good, I really think he could go until 2018 if he wanted to.

Can China send Xiaoyu/Yang to fill in for S/H at the Cup of China? I really like them.

P/Z: despite the mistakes, she shows good potential.

Of course, at this point, Hao clearly outclasses her. I wonder how he feels about having to basically start all over with a new, inexperienced partner?

Hope Nan Song heals fast. Must be painful skating with a swollen hip.
Wow.. so impressed with Han Yan. He has so much potential.
And Jin .... this little kid ... I am keeping an eye on him. Men is looking good in China with all these upcoming super kids. Looking forward to their continuing growth and hoping to see China podium in men some day!

She's in an extremely good shape!

I think that 3flip/3toe were both cheated and the second 3flip was two-footed but the other jumps looked really stellar.

The choreography is decent but I wish she'd extend her movements better and show more expression.
