    Full EGL schedule: http://evt.sk8stuff.com/lister_event_detail.asp?id=4479

    Small event this year, with a huge non-qualifying event in conjunction. I remember when I was a junior at EGL, 1/3 (or fewer) of the skaters made the final round. Now 1/3 will make Midwestern Sectionals.

    A couple of interesting things I noticed from the North Atlantics roster:

    Both Jay Yostanto and Lauren Dinh have switched to SCNY (from SWP and Southwestern regions, respectively)

    Kristiene Gong has entered (IIRC she didn't compete at all last year and represented the All Year FSC the season before)

    Lauren Dinh currently is based at Detroit SC/EGL - I believe she represented Detroit SC in summer competitions. Kristiene Gong has started college in the Northeast and NA Regionals may be her first competition since her 11th place finish in Sr. at 2011 Nationals (she has represented SC of NY before, IIRC).

    Other Senior ladies registered for Regionals who have taken time off include Ellie Kawamura (SWP) and Danielle Shepard (NE). Shepard competed at Collegiate Nationals in August.

    Thanks for the links, Sylvia!

    Here is the full list of senior ladies from North Atlantics as garnered from the roster-

    Jordan Bauth
    Kaitlyn Castelli
    Samantha Cesario
    Candace Coleman
    Kaitlyn DeBardelaben
    Lauren Dinh
    Joelle Forte
    Kristiene Gong
    Monica Koch
    Katie McBeath
    Camille Menendez
    Raina Narita
    Gabrielle Newman
    Michelle Panagakos
    Helen Serafini
    Brittney Skarulis
    Courtney Taylor
    Nicolette Tomasini
    Kelly Walsh
    Vida Weisblum
    Jessica Weltz
    Jennifer Zhang

    Rather strong field for a regional there, even if Cesario gets a bye. SWPAC looks very competitive in the senior ladies field with Sophia Adams, Courtney Hicks, Carolyn Alba, Ellie Kawamura, Vanessa Lam, Anna Malkova, and Katarina Kulgeyko...

    I've volunteered to do some announcing at EGL (I've done it for the club before). Not sure what events yet, and unfortunately I can't do the weekend, but hopefully it will be on the IJS side.

    Are they doing nonqual events at the same time as the qualifying competition? In my region it tends to be the weekend before.

    Yes. They'll have IJS on Olympic and the non-qual on Stadium. At least that's how its been in the past.

    Change that. Just looked at the schedule, and they have IJS on Stadium and non-IJS on Olympic. Not that that matters to a whole lot of people here.

    Stadium has a warmer announcer box.

    Why isn't Bauth competing in Juniors? She's only 15-16, isn't she?

    I've also reproduced the above information in post #1 (and will continue to add updates) in my blog: http://unseenskaters.wordpress.com/2...o-in-progress/

    Southwesterns (SW) has published a roster/groups minus Juvenile Girls and Intermediate Ladies: http://2013southwesterns.com/skater-...ment-and-info/

    I'm delighted to see Kristiene Gong back on the scene again! I loved her SP from the 2008-2009 season.

    I don't see Amanda Dobbs' name on the SW Senior Ladies list. Has she decided not to compete this year, or has she changed to another region? I know she's had some struggles in the past couple of seasons, but I do enjoy her skating.

    120 Juvenile Girls in the SA region (6 groups of 20 per http://www.tfscnc.org/documents/qual...212.pdf)...and only 4 advancing...tough for those kids!

    Here's a working link to the South Atlantics schedule with the group numbers: http://www.tfscnc.org/documents/qual...dule_92212.pdf

    Thanks for the heads up! ETA: There's no Senior Men's event on the schedule (so 4 or fewer registered and elected not to compete).

    I don't know. AFAIK, Skate Detroit in July was Dobb's only competition (SP+FS) this summer.

    For SA, is it top 4 advance to Sectionals for Juv and Int?

    Yes, for all 9 Regionals (rule was revised for this season re. juvenile and intermediate singles skaters).

    From the current USFS Rulebook online (page 163):
    2472 Senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile singles skaters:
    A. Senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile singles skaters qualify
    for sectional championships by:
    1. Placing in the top four at a regional championship;
    2. Receiving an international bye (per rule 2473);
    3. Having four or fewer entries in their event at a regional championship;

    Thanks. That's what I thought. Just wanted to double check. (Actually, it was wishful thinking that more would go on to Sectionals. Ah well.)

    Amanda Dobbs used to represent Penninsula FSC before she moved to Texas. Considering the field at Midwesterns, and even Southwesterns, for senior ladies this season is rather deep, I wonder if she switched back to representing Penninsula where she'll likely have better odds to qualify for Nationals (Zhang has a bye and it's likely Keiser and Wang won't have to compete there due to JGPF).
