Yes, Riske was really coming back against Hantuchova. Argh! rain.

Yes, Hantuchova is saying thank you to the rain. It brought Riske's momentum to a screeching halt, and allows Hantuchova (whose mental fragility is well known) to regroup. I actually hope Hantuchova wins. It's great seeing her perform well at a slam.

Vinci showed that it's all about the matchup. Giorgi couldn't handle the slice shots.

Seriously, Hantuchova and Pennetta both got very lucky there. Hopefully, the youngsters come back ready to play in both games .

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Dani; she could really benefit.

I'm torn between Halep and Pennetta - I like both. Flavia could do with a big result, especially at this late stage in her career, and Simona is a great talent on the rise whom I want to see on the really big stage (i.e a GS semi) Hmmm...

mlp, you'll need to wear your new "roger that" shirt all the time then, if he's going to win another slam

it was also good catching up with megi over the first set of haas/Youzhny yesterday!

I'm a huge Federer fan but he should retire. Watching him lose these matches is torture.

I agree. He's had a great career, but these early losses look like they are getting more and more frequent.

I don't think Roger should retire. He simply needs to right his game.

One thing I have been saying for a while now regarding Roger...NEW COACH!!

Paul has run his purpose. Roger needs a coach that will motivate him and bring belief back to his game. I actually like the idea of Roger taking the rest of the year off.

Roger is 32. You guys seem to forget that. It is the natural course of things. To even do what he did last year at 31 was remarkable but peoples primes dont last forever, unless you are Serena Williams who seems to be an alien in that sense.
