    Wow. what great tennis today.

I wished DelPo could beat Djokovic because this is the year of upsets, but it was a classic nonetheless. I'm glad he's showing he's back in the mix because, yeah, when he is healthy, he can beat anyone. Brilliant from both guys.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Janowicz. I had not seen him play before, but he's really good. He's unpredictable, showed he was not overawed by the situation.... he just needs to up his fitness level so that he can sustain his high level when the matches go 5 sets (he seemed to run out of gas this match), but I was impressed. I hope to see more of him.

Ahh, Murray. Way to keep your fans on the edges of their seats!

Looking forward to another hard fought, high quality, match on Sunday.

You mean Tsonga. Berdych is hopeless vs Nadal or Djokovic.

Anyway I hope Murray can win this final.

I must be the only one who is rooting for Djokovic. He's my fave I would love for him to win Wimbledon again.

Lisicki is completely flat and drops the first set 1-6

I hope Lisicki can at least make a match out of this. That was sad she was an emotional mess, almost in tears. Seems better since she took the break...I hope.

I agree, I use to like Berdych but he's just a lost cause and his attitude/comments at times have turned me off and yes I hope Murray wins to I can't stand Djokovic.

I can't get my head around it either, mlp. Congrats to her, I guess.

Belinda Bencic (SUI) just beat Taylor Townsend (USA) for the girls' title. She's riding a 35 match winning streak in the juniors, including Roland Garros and now Wimbledon. She's coached by Melanie Molitor, Martina Hingis' mother. Plus, she looks eerily like a young Monica Seles. Interesting to see what will become of her...

Well nevermind. Sabine just let the pressure get to her. I hope she doesn't let it destroy or define her. She had a great tournament and lots to be proud of. Congrats Marion! Dream come true, very happy for you.

Congrats to Marion. Held her nerves together and took advantage of the HUGE opportunity.

Marion's interview a few days, she talked about how things opened up for her in her draw; She knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I love when players seize their MOMENT!

Marion played Sabine like SERENA should have. Aggressive in all parts of her game.

Sabine didn't have much left after the effort it took to reach the final.
I hope that she will have other chances.

    Bartoli earned the win.
    Both ladies exude class.

    Agreed!

Bartoli is just not my favorite whatsoever, I find her playing to be one hell of an eyesore. I always have the impression she's going to physically come apart every time she serves...
    Dá-lhe, Isadora!!

Ah, they are both so sweet. Arms around each other leaving the court. I can't help but feel good for both of them.

Juniors is odd in that it rewards a more conservative approach vs. the pros. The tennis channel frequently shows the junior finals from the US open and I usually feel that the losing finalist is the one with more potential. The more talented ones lose because of errors. Like, Jerzy Janowicz vs. some Lithuanian guy and Urszula Radwanska vs. her opponent.

I agree - to an extent. It's less common in the men's, but Hingis, Henin, Mauresmo, Jankovic, Azarenka, Wozniacki and A. Radwanska were all junior grand slam champions and did well in the pro tour. I saw part of the match and was really impressed with both girls. Townsend had a nice all court game and is very powerful (but needs better conditioning); Bencic takes the ball super early and had very good mind on court (but could probably improve her serve). It was a really high quality match.

Disappointed for Sabine, but Marian played so well the whole tournament. Props to her for changing up her game and taking chances. She really seemed to see the ball so well today.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.
