    What a weird day.
Cilic also retired injured!! I don't remember another day when so many players either retired or never started their matches due to injury!!

Cilic and Tsonga were both in Murray's quarter so that should make things a little easier for him to make the semi's at least.

Roger comes out with shoes with white soles - apparently his orange soled ones from the other day were against the clothing regulations set out by Wimbledon!!

    Horrible day for tennis.

Injuries galore and a few upsets. Caroline W losing I don't consider an upset. She needs to change her game STAT or accept her decline. Her skills have regressed so much. She virtually no weapons. She needs to change coaches.

And as I type this.. Maria is out!!

OK I do not see anyway that anyone can keep Serena from winning this title for the 6th time!!

@Lorac I didn't anyone having a change against Serena anyway. But we at least could have possibly had a good match with she would have played Maria or Vika.

The only person left with a game to "challenge her"(that is stretching it) is possibly Petra. But Petra is not very confident right now.

Good grief! They're dropping like flies! How disappointing for so many players and us fans. And Sharapova out early. Stay on your feet, Roger, please.

If Kvitova wakes up and starts playing like she can, this could be a huge opportunity for her to get back on track. But she needs to make it through the early rounds first. Regardless that half of the draw is wide open!!

OMG. I am so excited for Sloane right now. She just has to keep it together, and she could be in her first final!!!

A day of upsets and retirements and injuries, galore! I am upset for Darcis having to withdraw after such a huge win. That is a shame. I don't expect Sloane to make the final but wow, what a mouth watering final that would be for US television. An all American final and two players who just had a big spat. Sloane getting there would be a SHOCK, to me, though. Even with everyone dropping like flies, I expect her to lose to some name I don't know.
