So, which one will Michelle pick, or will Vera create an original for her?

Crows and Eville SQUIRRELS love peanuts!
^^ Yes, definitely, I agree that Vera will be designing a custom made dress for Michelle, and that it will not be a poufy silhouette, but something more streamlined and suited to her style, size, and shape.![]()
I do not understand why fashion models are encouraged to make such grim faces. Ick.
I don't notice the models for other products doing that.
Not that any of these factoids are completely unknown, but very impressive facts about Clay Pell:

ETA:
The following excerpt is a synopsis compiled from various news reports (quoting MK) and posted on an examiner.com site which I'm not linking because the site is an annoying ad magnet.
In contrast to so many brides who attempt to lose weight to look fabulous in their wedding gowns, newly engaged Michelle Kwan already is focused on a healthy diet and fitness regime, following years of skating competitively. The 32-year-old is engaged to 30-year-od Clay Pell, 30, director for strategic planning on the National Security staff at the White House, revealed People magazine on September 11.
When she was working out for six years to compete for Olympic titles, Michelle could enjoy as much as 4,000 calories daily, according to U.S. News... after trying different diet plans, such as Atkins, she has chosen a diet similar to the Zone diet, which Jennifer Aniston also follows. The Zone diet provides portion control and a healthy nutritional balance, with Michelle's daily calories divided among 40 percent carbs, 30 percent protein and 30 percent healthy fats, such as almonds. The result achieves the reduction in carbohydrates that, based on recent studies, helps more with weight loss than a diet focused on low-fat or fat-free foods...
...
And even though she's no longer spending hours on the ice, Michelle hasn't put her workouts in the deep freeze. "I love sweating and exercising. If I don’t exercise, I’m not a happy camper,” Michelle recently told the Washington Post Express. She takes yoga classes five times a week at various studios and has noticed how much it has improved her flexibility and balance. "If you can lift a leg up and do a spiral on ice, it doesn’t mean you’re balanced evenly. In skating, we can favor one side,” she confessed. She also runs and plays golf.

^^ I get an error message and no pics. Is it just me?![]()
Here it is: http://guestofaguest.com/washington-...an-ball/745057
He reminds me a little bit of an older Armie Hammer.![]()
The link I posted works for me, but there must be a problem for others re I accessed it through a search and not a direct link...
Thanks Anita18!
Michelle doesn't seem to be wearing a ball gown, so she must have went from work to an evening out, perhaps.
ETA:
The link you posted Anita18 is a gallery of photos to click through with a couple of Michelle/ Clay close-ups. The link I posted is one page of photos where you'd have to scroll down to see two pics of Michelle and Clay (not close-ups), so thanks again. In the first pic in my link, Michelle appears to be wearing a striped gray and black cape over what appears to be a black suit jacket. The second M/C pic in my link is the same second M/C pic in your link. The first M/C pic in your link is not in my link. However, my link contains a Sophie Pyle write-up of the event.
In the second close-up from your link, I was trying to determine what color eyes Clay has (gray, hazel, green)? M/ C do look happy together.
I see Michelle is also in a third pic in your link with Sophie Pyle (an actress and journalist/ event specialist?).

According to The Hill, the Meridian Ball is quite a who's who in DC. Note the last paragraph about Michelle Kwan....she still maintains her celebrity status as an Olympian.

I am sorry for this awful and superficial comment...but he is the oldest-looking 30 year old I have seen.Maybe I am just being a selfish fan and can't accept that he's good enough for her. Don't mind me.
Best wishes and happiness forever after!
Michelle could have any hunk she wanted. Her being with Clay is just further proof that she isn't superficial. I bet he has a rockin' brain!
Meh. Underwhelming. We wish her well, though.
Ashley Wagner - America's Champion and PRIDE. How sweet it is!

I think you are probably focusing on his receeding hairline. Don't let that overwhelm you, dear. He is brilliant, grounded, accomplished and, according to Michelle, has a delightful sense of humor. The article I read quoted Michelle as saying that when they studied for the fellowship together she was laughing until she had tears in her eyes. She also said she had never believed in love at first sight until she met him. She knew he was "the one" shortly after meeting him. He obviously has a fantastic personality and wonderful qualities that caused Michelle to fall in love with him.![]()
Oh, but if they don't look like an underwear model didn't you know they aren't worth knowing? Looks are the only thing after all.![]()
