USFA is taking down the videos from Skate America. Virtually all the links in the Skate America thread are worthless. GRRRRR. And they wonder why skating fans keep getting fewer in number when they block our access to performances and competitions on a regular basis. again, GRRRRR. I was in the mood for some D/W

In the free, D/W have a level 2 and two elements with a level 3 so some room for improvement there. V/M got a level 2 and a leve 3 on two different elements.
PCS are pretty close and I am guessing that V/M's were perhaps a bit lower because of their couple slipups.
Going to be an interesting season between these two, I think.
Thank you for your efforts, really, professordeb. But you have some numbers a bit wrong (for example, Meryl and Charlie's SD separate PCs assigned also to Tessa and Scott, some marks of both FDs technical elements, the overall PCs for both FDs), so I took the liberty to make some changes to your charts. I hope it wasn't too much.

I downloaded both the FD and SD last week. I'll try getting them on YouTube with a private link. And no mention of Meryl and Charlie ahaha.

This is a free forum and everyone can say whatever they feel like, about whoever they feel like, in whatever thread they feel like (as long as you are not breaking any rules set by the admins). Good luck trying to police it to what you want to hear.

Thanks so much for the updates, lauravvv. I find these charts very helpful.

I noticed the same thing, and the CBC links don't seem to be working right now, either. I am hoping this is a temporary thing, so I will post them below (I am not sure if these are geoblocked):

They removed my practice video of Meryl and Charlie and the exhibition I recorded. I understand the exhibition, but why the practice video? It's not like IceNetwork or USFSA had any practice footage on their websites. The fans making videos were the only ones sharing the practices with the fans who couldn't be there. Next time I'm not posting my videos on YouTube. Can the USFSA force me to take them down if they're posted only on my blog?

Really? That's terrible. I wouldn't have thought they would be so particular about practice footage.

You could make them unlisted so only people with a link can view them. I unlisted the rough version of the SD I took and it didn't get taken down. Not a 100% guarantee, but it may work.

I love the chart. I'm not going to lie. I'm generally pretty lazy about scoping this info out, unless I'm motivated by what I feel is a great injustice.

I love the YP - I actually compared it to the other teams and the little flourishes D/W did, like the hopping and then dipping and bobbing their heads to the music, was super cute. Also loving the no touch sequence all the way up to the YP.

The part where they stopped to link arms and start the "toe-tapping" bit, Meryl looked at Charlie as if challenging him to make it look as good as her and he did it as if saying "check this out". Gosh, I think the whole thing is great - if you can't already tell!

we should all try using other alternatives for YouTube.
Removing practice video seemed insane to me.
What is the violation? Music in the background probably...

They didn't take down practice vids from other USFSA events with music playing, so it seems like an SA issue.

Thanks for the new links. USFA is certainly full of themselves, even pulling practice videos. I guess they want ice skating fans but only on their terms.

Well that just totally sucks taking down video. How on earth am I supposed to get another view of those dances? Le sigh ... sometimes it's really difficult being a figure skating fan.

I agree. Keeping it unlisted usually works. I think they can sniff out videos through tags or anything in the title or description that indicates the event or whatever keyword they were looking for.

That's too bad. I appreciate you giving us access to the practice sessions and I hope you can find some way to post your vids again.

no problem. Did you manage to get them to work? I have tried several times and they won't seem to play. I have them on my DVR but I don't know how to upload them to a video sharing site.

Use code names for Meryl and Charlie, something we'll all remember, and they won't find it. I watch some programs from England on Youtube like that. No names or titles from the show are listed and we can see things just fine.

So disappointed that they feel the need for this.
