British Eurosport only broadcast a recap of the SD. Lovely slo mo of Meryl & Charlie.
Lovely slo mo indeed!
Any gala reports? I'm assuming they skated to SLY.
SLY was great. They came out again for an encore, and Meryl slipped and fell in the prep for it. She gave a little wave to show she was fine and they skated the last minute of ND, just like in Japan. The crowd was great.
I think she somehow hit Charlie's skate. Her little wave and big smile is cute as she gets back into the encore.
I like how they gave Daisuke a high five when they were leaving the ice and Daisuke was coming on the ice. Cute moment!
Beautiful! Thanks for the link! Meryl and Charlie always have such fantastic endings, ND and S&D have my two favorite endings.
Also just have to say this... thinking about the next year leading to Olympics is almost painful to me...the V/M uber thread has reached new levels of superiority complex and I know it's only going to get worse. Like Terry Gannon and Tanith pointed out, guess I'll have to put on my Teflon armor. And also have a lot of posters on ignore...which means I won't have to worry about avoiding the V/M thread (cause I still have my weak moments) since I won't be able to read much of it!

MERYL DAVIS AND CHARLIE WHITE - 2014 OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALISTS!
Oh yes, those endings are marvelous!
As for the Olympic season, yes, it's gonna be hard to bare, considering last time I don't think anyone truly believed Meryl and Charlie had a shot at gold. Now they obviously do and are much more of a competition for Tessa and Scott than four years ago. It might really get nasty out there. Maybe I will just stick to this very thread and ignore everything else next season
Putting all this aside, guys, we need a new thread title!
Should we get sarcastic? "So Many Threads, So Little Connection"
^^ Sarcasm is always welcome!
Along those lines, how about "The Best Ballet They Ever Hated".
On a serious note…"Spira, Spera" (as long as I breathe, I hope) from Hugo's NDP
I love all of the suggestions.
All of the silly comments about them recently have made me lean towards the sarcastic. "So Many Threads, So Little Connection" kills me.
Just watched SLY. Meryl looks gorgeous in that pale yellow! I may not be the biggest fan of this exhibition piece, but it was a very nice performance of it here.
