These guys think that because they are professional athletes that they aren't fat. You are still fat, you are just supposed to be fat and are probably in much better shape than most people of your size.

Yeah, they've been playing so well, I was surprised to see that kind of game. I'm not surprised that the Giants pulled out a win consider they are the defending champs, but I didn't see today's game coming at all.

This was a bad day for all the teams I was rooting for.

The Cardinals played horrible in the second half and lost to lowly Buffalo. To make things worse for them, the Seahawks beat the Patriots.

The Cowboys played very well, but lost the game to the Ravens (without Ray Lewis) when a golden opportunity was presented to them toward the end. Once again, poor clock management at the end.

The Houston Texans, who I recently adopted, had their first loss of the season. Nothing to be ashamed of when you lose to the Packers, but they were blown away.

Now I have to wait until the next week. Will it be better?

I'm watching at my mom's house because I don't have cable. I told her my boys weren't doing well and described what happened. She said that maybe I was rooting for the wrong team. Obviously not a sports fan. I told her that the Broncos could lose every game from now until the end of time and they would still be my boys.

It feels good to be proud of an Atlanta Sports Franchise after the Braves tanked so spectacularly in the WC game of the playoffs.

This week concludes the worst week for the San Diego Chargers franchise in many a year. First they blow a 24-0 half time lead last Monday and lose 35-24, this after blowing a 17 point lead the week before. Then the longtime Charger PR chief goes online and tells Charger fans to take a "chill pill" and stop whining about the team. Like the fans don't have a reason to be pissed at what was going on. And finally, it was revealed today that the Chargers were caught using a version of "stickum", a sprayed on aid to help catch the ball which was banned over 20 years ago. Jeez they can't even cheat successfully.

This franchise is reeling and Dean Spanos the owner is MIA.

I'm convinced that the patriots are either frustratingly mediocre or one of the best teams in the NFL. They can't seem to decide which from week to week, though.

Will anyone be watching the Grey Cup on Sunday? I'm not a football fan, but without hockey this season we're itching for some sort of sporting extravaganza, plus it's the 100th Grey Cup and it's in my hometown, so some fuss is in order, no? Plus it's an excuse to bring out my Super Bowl recipes ...

We get some CFL games around here. I think they're on the NBC Sports channel. Not that we'll be watching. Even my football-loving Canadian husband doesn't follow the CFL.
