I would Klimova & Ponomarenko 1988, the only one of the silver performances that actually deserved gold.
Regöczy & Sallay in 1980 did not just divide the judges so much that they almost won but they also won 1980 worlds so they seemed to have a real momentum and skill that was not just isolated to an Olympics. It may not be the best but came to mind almost immediately!
Yay Davis and White

None of those are phenomal just good. Davis & White werent that developed artistically yet in 2010 and their POTO was pretty bland but technically superb. Belbin & Agosto were 4th in the FD in 2006. Lobacheva & Averbuhk had a much better OD than FD, I cant believe they nearly won with that program, but then again no FDs were great that night. I did not like Krylova & Ovsiannikov's Carmen which was way overdone. Usova & Zhulin's FD in 94 was very dissapointing, even if they were .1 from winning gold. The Duchensays programs in 92 were nowhere near their creative standards, and they were never exceptional technicians.
I honestly dont know who to pick. Maybe I should vote for the best OD. In which case my choice would be Krylova & Ovsiannikov in 98, although Usova & Zhulin in 94, Lobacheva & Averbuhk in 2002, and Belbin & Agosto in 2006 were also great. K&O and U&Z both had very strong CDs as well
I went with 'other'. I loved Klimova & Ponomarenko's performances at the 1988 Olympics. Their skating skills completely blow B&B's out of the water.
