Paolo Bacchini and Cappellini/Lanotte are going to compete at this event.

I just spoke with the FFSA, they are going to have a meeting this evening and decide the final participants. Pingu´s information seems to be correct.![]()
Not by train, but easily by bus (and after a couple of years by metro).
Info about the nice venue: http://www.baronaareena.com/en/
I would love to come!! It would be a great self made present (or whatever that's called) for my birthdayBut after looking at my bank account, I'm not that sure I could make it if I don't find a job soon
Do you know if there is going to be a live stream for the competitions?

Sorry if this seems like a 'rude Amerikan' question, but is Finlandia always in such a large venue? (7000+ seats?)
I guess looking at that site surprised me. I am thinking the venue for the new Senior B to be held in the US in mid-September will hold a LOT less people.
My Life Would Suck Without FS-You
Dear Peibeck, we accept your rudenessbecause you are totally right, it has not been as big. Barona Arena is a new place, yhe competitiom used to take place in Valtti Areena, Tikkurila, with abou 3000 seats. It was often full, though.
I guess the organizers dream to get GP status to FT, if ISU decides to enlarge the series to 7 or even 8 competitions.
Barona Arena is as comfortable as Hartwall, the venue of 1999 Worlds and 2009 Europeans.
(And it is only 30 mins drive from me and 10 mins from Older Boy Finnice´s apartement...)![]()
Hanyu and Fernandes will made FT too.
If Hanyu and Fernandes will come, I'll be in heaven!
Any news about the other participants yet?
Older Boy Finnice does not want his mum (& maybe some friends?) to stay over for a weekend?![]()
I'm ecstatic about the competition and the fact that it's moved to Barona Areena! It's warm and it's a 5-min walk from my front door, wheeeeee!!Unfortunately I had to give up the free all-event ticket I won because I found out the seats won't be good.
I ended up buying a ticket yesterday in the lower half in section 209!
Aaahhhh I still can't believe the competition is held in the middle of where I live. I'm just gonna walk over to the Tapiola center (that's where the official hotel is) and hang out there all day on Wednesday and Thursday and do some serious stalking & lobby chicking.
Like Finnice & Maija said, Barona Areena is easy to reach from Kamppi (in Helsinki city centre) by buses 105, 107 and 109. It takes about 15 minutes.
