I did not list pairs before 1970 (Kennedys with world silver or Ludingtons with world bronze because I never even watched their tapes).
So this poll begins at 1971 and does not include current pairs (or those who split and are skating with other partners).
Who are your 3 most favorite US pairs from the past? I have tried to limit it to those with at least a top 10 finish, but you can pick any pair that you like, regardless of world/Olympic placement.

My "other" vote is for Mark and Melissa Militano.
They performed their 1972 short program to music from Psycho.

I went with Starbuck & Shelley, Tai and Randy and the Carruthers. The first two were just gorgeous and while the Carruthers skating style isn't necessarily my cup of tea they were pretty consistent with the big tricks at Worlds and Olympics between 1980 and 84. My other would also be the Militano's. They were so ahead of their time artistically and technically - the first pair to do sbs 2x and throw 2x in the same program internationally (1972 Olympics) - yet they never got the recognition they deserved.

I went for I/Z for their fantastic choreography and lifts, and John being
in general, Yamaguchi & Galindo as I just love them, such a sweet pair and I am still sad they split. Nearly went for B/G but decided on Inoue/Baldwin at the last minute - they acheived a lot and had some very exciting moments.
Stop, don't say that it's impossible, cause I know it's possible...

NNN & Themis had great potentials. They certainly had the best side-by-side 3toes of any U.S. pairs, and NNN was the only girl anywhere that did an actual split in the split-twist. Too bad about NNN's injuries and inconsistency in their throw jumps.
I thought Jill Watson & Burt Lancon could've been something great if they had stuck together.

Meno/Sand, Inoue/Baldwin, and Ina/Zimmerman. I didn't notice that you could have picked other until after lol - if so, I might have picked Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett as one of my three choices. I guess they're not really past though because Caydee is still competing.

Ina & Dungjen , I especially loved their throw 3 sal into sbs 3 toes and triple twist into a throw 3 loop.
Ina & Zimmermann. Kyoko surely knew how to pick her
partners and she was quite an athlete too. Again, I'm a big fan of transitions into throws, so how could I not like this?
Other => Castile & Okolski, mainly for their big throws. And there's somehow a nice 6.0 flair in their programs that I like. They also looked hot, which never hurts
