I was at the Smithsonian's Air & Space museum earlier this week and thought about what a remarkable achievement space travel has been during our lifetime. Prayers for Neil, his family and friends.

It's a bad weekend to be an Armstrong.

    Thumbs up

Neil Armstrong once said: "There are places to go beyond belief." He spoke from experience.

    RIP, space traveler....and thank you.

There's a really nice obituary written for national obituary pages. It's here - http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sal...78#fbLoggedOut

I was one of those that was hunkered down in the TV room with bunches of family glued to the TV. As a child I used to get up at 3:00 AM sometimes to watch all the space shots. I remember watching Alan Shephard and John Glenn and most of the rest of them. The moon walk in 1969 was such a joy.

For my fellow Cdns, I'm sorry to be posting this so late today, but just woke up from a badly needed nap. Anyway...Today's Globe and Mail has a picture of Mr. Armstrong in his Space Suit, then one of his footprint on the Moon and a listing of the respective articles and the obituary in today's edition.

I heard from my Mom the Family has decided on a private Funeral Service likely to be held on Friday and a Public Memorial Service is in the planning stages.

    You weren't alone!
My father used to get me up in the middle of the night for launches.
