Another article on the same site breaks it down further for Nashville - all good news for my new favourite show!
Building its Adult 18-49 audience for its 4th straight original telecast, ABC’s Nashville ran neck-and-neck with CBS’ CSI for the 10 o’clock hour’s lead in Adults 18-49 (pacing within 1-tenth of a rating point and tied in audience share). The ABC freshman drama beat out CSI to win the hour among Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49). Gaining 5% week to week in Adults 18-49, Nashville delivered its highest rating since its debut telecast on October 10, 2012.
I feel kind of insignificant/slighted now that I'm 50 and advertisers only care about the 18-49 demographic.
I think I still spend more dollars than your average 20 something.
Up here in Canada we feel even more slighted. The 18-49 demographic still rules the roost due to US influences, even though the original Boomers are by far more numerous and lucrative. The Baby Boom Echo up here just was not significant - more like a super-pale imitation. Marketers don't seem to be able to think for themselves here though, so whatever is happening in the US is what drives things here too.

Anyone excited about "The Following" premiereing tonight on FOX?
Preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzD5gClsHyw
^ Yup! Also excited that it doesn't conflict with anything else in my viewing schedule. Though ... from the brief previews & writeups I've seen, I'm surprised it's not in the 10:00 slot.
If nothing else it should open up a few new levels in the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game.![]()
Thanks for the heads up looks interesting!
