I'm off to the Patrick Chan threads...where you can watch a molehill become a mountain in seconds!!!
I caught up with Cracked last night, which premiered on Tuesday. I was very pleasantly surprised -- most Canadian dramas are just so earnest, and so ... "look at us, we're Canadian." But this one was just a well-written, well-acted, straight-ahead police procedural drama with enought of a twist for it to be different but not so much it's wacky. (Of course some people might think that's not a good thing -- we get more than enough of that from the US network shows ...)
The premise: Aiden, a former SWAT officer with PTSD (maybe, or maybe something else, not doubt to be revealed) gets assigned to a new Psych Crimes and Crisis Unit. Their mandate is to deal with cases involving mental illness. Each cop is paired with a psychiatric doctor or nurse -- and in Aiden's case, his new partner spends as much time examining him as the case.
Of course in the interest of full disclosure ... I will admit that the primary attraction for me was David Sutcliffe. But there was lots else to like too. I'll definitely be tuning in again to this one. And, because it's CBC, there's pretty much zero chance that they'll pull the plug before airing at least the whole first season.

I've been enjoying "American Horror Story:Asylum" this season. Only 2 episodes left until the season finale.
I also linked the Jessica Lange "The Name Game" musical number from this weeks episode in the "AHS:Asylum" thread. Check it out.

Last night's Big Bang Theory was one of the best episodes ever. And that's saying something, coz I don't think there's ever been a bad one.
I'm still giggling at the thought of Amy, Bernadette, and Penny arguing of the internal logic of the Mavel universe.
Yes, it was outstanding in a series that consistently makes me laugh out loud - I swear they raided the Star Trek sets for those costumes, and hired one of their makeup artists, and it was both hilarious and completely in character.
Just when you think it can't get any funnier...it does.
Loved the girls arguing over Thor's hammer and who can pick it up. Red Hulk picking up Thor while he holds the hammer means Red Hulk picked up the hammer too.
Penny's analogy: "so if I pick up a guy at a bar, and he picks up another girl to come with us...does that mean "I" picked up the girl?"![]()

Rumour has it that ABC is looking to make a live action Star Wars tv show. We'll have to wait and see if this happens.

I am lovin' Deception. I just hope that they will at least last this season so we can get a proper resolution. And OMG, Miles from Lost!
Innnterresting ... Disney owns ABC and now Star Wars, so maybe this was part of their plan all along. There are plenty of stories in the Star Wars universe beyond the one depicted in the movies - see video games, many novels, comic books etc. If properly done, it could be good.
