The skaters would not look as cute if they were dressed like bankers.

"Randy [Starkman (1960-April 16, 2012)] lived by the same motto as the rest of us. The Olympics isn’t every four years, it’s every single day. He just got it." --Canadian Olympic kayaker Adam van Koeverden
I heard that Evan Lysacek will not be at Champs Camp but no confirmation on that.
On a shallow note, I'm really glad Reagan cut his hair. He doesn't look like that kid you knew in high school anymore. Much more grown up.
When there was a mass shooting at an Omaha mall, CNN had a reporter standing in the parking lot telling us the mall was in the middle of some cornfields. There are no cornfields near that mall or any Omaha mall. All you can see from the place she was standing are businesses, parking lots, and the freeway.
Last season, ABC/ESPN had the Gameday crew at a college football game in Lincoln where they described the Husker crowd as being entirely composed of farmers because that is the whole population of the state. Lincoln is a city of over 250,000. And Omaha is larger.
To answer another question, Omaha once upon a time had the nation's largest stockyards to move cattle to markets and meatpacking plants. It no longer operates. If the skaters all show up wearing those cowboy hats, they are likely to be the only ones in town with them on. Send them out to the panhandle and the Sandhills ranch lands and it would be different. But that's six hours away from Omaha.
First article from Champs Camp focuses on Ashley Wagner, Christina Gao, and Agnes Zawadzki: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/artic...&vkey=ice_news
Does Icenetwork not have a copy editor to edit these things before they're published?"The way they train, their work ethic, is something I love," she said. "Everyone works really hard there, because they're motto is, 'At competitions, you can only control what you do.'"
Impressed with how ambitious these ladies are, and looking forward to seeing their programs this fall.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.
Evan had a boot on his foot at the last Champs Camp he attended, wondering how badly injured he is if he can't even attend the seminars.
