Two Belgians were sent home for going out drinking, and another runner was sent home for staying with his wife in a hotel rather than in the Olympic Village???!!!!

Those were all the individual Olympic committees though that sent them home not the IOC like in the case of doping violations. As long as the guidelines were laid out in advance I don't see a problem with it. Though not being able to spend a night with your wife does seem completely ridiculous.
