Why would she get involved in something like this?
Either she's a budding Dear Abby or maybe she has particular experience with this....?

Having skated with David through their divorce, and continuing to skate with him, I would think she has lots to offer on the topic of making a difficult working relationship manageable.

Also, if you've been around the pairs world at all, pairs girls are tough, especially on each other, so Jamie likely has all kinds of experience in dealing with difficult personalities.

Next thing you know, she'll be giving advice on how to accept losses with class.

You do? Which part - the talking to a colleague outside the work environment about a work problem? The condescending "How can I help you control your anger" approach?

I wondered if this was an ill-timed April Fool's joke, but this...

    ...makes a bit of sense.

Her advice isn't anywhere near as good as the HR professional's above her, but considering Jamie's work has never really taken place in an office or any traditionally professional setting, it's not terrible.

I saw S/P skate in SOI last year. What was most notable about their performances was that they never once looked at one another. David occasionally flashed a gritted-teeth grin at the audience. Jamie went through the paces without cracking a smile. They definitely did not look like a team that enjoyed skating together.

Yes, they have a working relationship, but I'd hardly consider it a good one.

Bechke and Petrov went on performing together after their divorce, but it was clear they respected and liked one another and fully enjoyed their performances.

A friend of mine saw them train and commented that they made absolutely no communication with each other except when were skating together.
