One of the Royal Ballet's dancers, Gary Avis, Tweeted this photo of himself, the other featured stars (incl. Darcey Bussell), and the choreographers backstage. As you can read by his comment, they are all aware that the American NBC network chacked them. Love the comment!

I guess that it was more important to use two minutes of the post-midnight show to interview Swimmer Missy Franklyn for the billionth time, flashing her yellowed and crooked teeth.

I've been trying to find video of Darcey's performance all over the web, but to no avail. Does anyone here have a link to it?

    Thanks so much!

I'm joining the Post-Olympic Depression Club ... these two weeks went by too quick!

as for the Closing Ceremony - it was quite exciting! even though the Spice Girls were really crap and I could barely stand Noel's nasal 'Wonderwall.' but at least we got to see Annie Lennox and Fatboy Slim (pity he was later accompanied by Taio Cruz - wtf?). Jessie J - well...
why didn't the organisers invite Florence?

It was Liam....it probably would have been better if Noel sang it.

^overedge said it for me, Noel is much more bearable as a singer.

Here's a good example for you: Noel Gallagher - Wonderwall Teenage Cancer Trust 2010
And Noel also wrote the song btw.

Yes, apparently NBC broke from the closing ceremony to show a bad sitcom, then the local news, then returned to the closing ceremony after midnight and despite it being on tape delay, did not show Muse or some other acts they chacked.
And so, dear Lord, it is with deep sadness that we turn over to you this young woman, whose dream to ride on a giant swan resulted in her death. Maybe it is your way of telling us... to buy American.

How many dedicated viewers sat through the sitcom and news to watch the tape delayed closing ceremonies? This is the worst coverage of them I have ever seen.

I'm upset at all that was omitted in the US; and can't access the online clips from "elsewhere", either!

What's really sad is that NBC will probably ignore all the criticism and do exactly the same for the next several Olympics.

This is my favorite Noel vocal, on the Chemical Brothers' "Let Forever Be":

Cool, I had heard the song before but didn't know Noel was singing it.

I also bumped into this version of Don't look back in Anger that I really liked. As someone put it on youtube, Noel should re-record all of Oasis albums with his own voice.

    LOL spot on

I really enjoyed the ceremony, but people who were watching with me thought it wasn´t very olympic related, they said it seemed almost like a live aid to whatever cause musical performance.

Liked a lot the stage and the way artists were introduced

    Monty Python

I must be the only person who likes Muse´s survival, but I confess it I was expecting Kerrs to appear and skate ala Plushenko Eurovision.

Don´t mind the cover, "wish you were here" always makes me feel

I nearly peed my pants at the David Bowie greatest hits commercial and Fashion with Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and other models Costas couldn't name.

    No Stones or Adele?
