wow NBC is really milking the drama
saw it earlier on BBC so i'm amused to see NBC's version as well. nice shot of the chinese team member with her hand over her heart when qiu dove. cynthia saying 'that's crazy' when they gave him 9.5 despite his head being too close to the platform.

i think they should penalize that (as a general rule--not singling qiu out here) to discourage divers from taking unnecessary risks. diving is dangerous enough without this additional risk.
