This is the first time I've watched any track and field events, and I've got to say that Tom Hammond looks absolutely ridiculous in that blue track suit .

Tom Hammond always looks ridiculous to me. It's worse in person.

To east coast FSU'ers: How long does the The World at War last tonight? This is ridiculous. I can't wait to see what happens with their ratings for this half hour.

    It lasts an hour....

Mo does crunches to celebrate his win... Not quite as impressive as push ups.

Brigetta Barrett's opening pose is rather voidy

Watching a bit behind, so I'm not quite live yet. But is it just me, or has Rupp picked up a bit of Farrah's accent? lol! I thought it was funny; it's to be expected when they spend so much time together for one to pick up another's accent.

I completely agree. I always imagine myself looking down over the platform at the water. I get dizzy sitting in my chair.

That Chinese diver is going to lose his head one of these days diving that close to the platform.

I saw mtn biking on nbc...women's. Didn't watch all day though, so not sure if they showed men.

Is there a diving while Chinese bonus? They seem to be getting scores much higher than I'd expect. Is it like skating while pretty?

Also, daley Boudia side by side was incredible. It was identical (and scored the exact same)

I find watching the Chinese really interesting at these Olympics. They're much less stoic than pre-Beijing. The camera would have never been able to find countrymen reacting to good or bad dives like this. I noticed earlier the Chinese high-fiving, hugging, talking to other athletes in a way that I don't think would have happened pre-Beijing.

Doesn't really bode well for the US v. China thing NBC is trying to build (it does seem like NBC has given up on that this week, especially since the diving girl commentator refuses to cooperate) .
