All hail the US women.
All hail the US women.
Can they show the sports already?
I'd like to hail the women, but the History Channel has invaded NBC.
When hugging a grammar nazi, I always say "there, their, they're."
i love this war fluff but i understand your point
I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!
I could have sworn I tuned into the Olympics, not the History Channel. How many divers are gonna get chacked for all this.

So, in other words, first up is the Tom Brokaw story about however "The Greatest Generation" benefited this particular city. I was expecting it last Sunday - or this Sunday.
You know, if they needed filler, they could just show the divers in various poses. And the American and French gymnastic team. And Merrit and Spearman. Some rhythm gymnastis. And then Maroney being not-impressed.
Or, they could show some stuff on the Olympic Village, or some "making of the games." There's nothing in this special that hasn't already been covered better by someone else.

I think I will have a snack and take a nap before I eat and go to sleep.
They are always pretty long.
While others have done the history before and possibly better, there is a whole audience out there for whom this is the only time they see any history. At other Olympics, I have had friends and acquaintances who talk about these history stories as the highlight of their Olympic viewing.
I noticed the other day that Tom is starting to show his age. He is wearing hearing aids and he sounds like his teeth don't fit well.
I wanted to catch some of the fabulous diving action today before I went out.
Not going to happen!
Grumble, grumble, grumble.
I can't believe NBC spent an hour giving us a history lesson about London during WWII. I already learned about this during European History in high school, European History in college, and numerous History Channel docs. Leave if up to NBC to show the most boring, irrelevant fluff instead of actual athletes.![]()

About time!! Some sports!
Did anyone see the Mary Carillo story/interview with Caster Semenya this afternoon? Whether or not there is a question about her gender, the way she was treated was abominable.
Who was the coach who hugged Mitcham? The coach had a GB jacket, not Australia...
M&M is so lovable.I'm so sad he didn't advance to finals.
He will always be an Olympic Champion though!
McCrory, Daley, and Boudia have quite the hot bodies on them!![]()
