Race walking looks so....odd.

Oops we have a DQ for Barrondo from Guatamala.

they have changed the last 2 legs of the sport by combing shooting and running (now similar to biathlon), on top of that they have made the sport enviornment friendly by having a laser gun ().

The reason for that is that too many competitors were using tranqualizers to steady their hand in the shooting so combining it with running was a way of stopping that.

They never show any of the Pentathlon in Canada. I want them to rename it the James Bond Superspy competetion, and then it'll become the premier event!

CTV aired the last minute of the 50K racewalk. I love watching racewalking, because I know it's a sport I could have done well at. My natural walking pace is much faster than most people's. I also like the tension of the possiblity of disqualification for the entire race- it must take immense concentration in closely fought events.

In essence yes... but that never happens. It's more like they are there in case a swimmer can't compete on competition day (say because of illness or injury.)

Oh Dear, what a disaster for Catherine Pendrel Reigning World Champion and won the test event only to finish 9th here. That's absolute devestation for her

They talk about the curse of the Canadian flag bearer, but I think for every Canadian World Champion I've seen compete at the Olympics (in any sport), I've only seen about 1/10 even get a medal, let alone win. If I were a Canadian, I think I'd lose on purpose, the year before, to foil the jinx. If our TV coverage plays it like they are a medal contender, they are doomed.
