Platform diving scares the crap out of me. It's not the height that scares me...it's the potential fall from that height!
An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Chen is amazing. Congrats to Malaysia on its first diving medal, and Brittany Aussie/Oy for being the only diver with a modicum of personality in the event.

Liked seeing Tarmoh and loved seeing Lauryn Williams in the 4X100m relay heat.

I took one look at it there after the race and said, "that's obscene."

That was sweet that there was a Jamaican sweep. Didn't see Usain congratulating his teammates.

Those are the light things they used in the Opening Ceremonies. I assume they will use them in the closing ceremonies as well. I think they are in the way for anyone sitting in the seats.

Congrats to Ashton and Trey on their gold and silver medals! Both of these US decathletes are pretty darn cute too.

nbc evening is like seeing a whole different Olys than everyone else. And yeah then on top of it they're showing stuff that wasn't suspenseful when it happened like the end of the decath and chick diving.

Altho his time around between moving and work wouldn't have that much time anyway. But I hope I have better options when the real OOOOOs -winter- comes around again.

BMX is an Olympic sport? Duuuude!

I don't understand how this works--you have to race in all five heats? Is it the two fastest total times that advance, and you have five chances, or is it the fastest time after five races?

Xtreme type sports- thats what they needed to show @8 to keep us from switching to sitcom repeats.
I missed the silver doughboy penis thing at the trk & field.

OK, Bolt is the best sprinter who ever lived - BUT I would surely appreciate it if he would run all the way to the end. He started celebrating before he crossed the finish line. Is it too much to ask that he run the whole race before he starts his shtick?

Love that the soccer team belts out the national anthem. I wish we could have seen the water polo medal ceremony.

Agreed, although from the NBC coverage tonight it appeared there were only two athletes in the entire event.

(Not a dig at you, Heather, just an observation.)
