I adore these costumes! Much like skating dresses 10-15 years ago. Extra points for the matching apparatus

I liked the multi-colored ribbons. It made it easier for me to see the beautiful whirls and swirls.

AFAIK after these olympics the hoop goes out and the rope comes in. Am I mistaken, or is this going to be the last time the rope is used?

Yes, she really did. Had Son not dropped both clubs, I'm pretty sure she'd have taken the 3rd spot on the podium.

This has to be the voidiest sporting discipline of all.
How in the hell the judges keep up with all the things going on at the same time?

they probably cant , this is actually good way to camouflage some minor drops/errors etc. unless you have eyes/judges on all 4 sides on the carpet

I find the Japanese team rather nice to watch.
How come they didn't have a girl or two in the singles competition?

    Watched the Group Final:

Spain and Japan were robbed. Italy did NOT deserve the bronze after the drop in 3+2. Spain should have gotten bronze, Italy 4th, Japan 5th.

I am ticked with how Russia used Giselle for their 5 balls......the cuts weren't cohesive.

This is my first time seeing group rhythmic gymnastics. It's amazing...FIVE women having to be in-sync with one another while performing difficult moves. Wow!
