Zorry my english, I´m a verrrrrry rude spaÑish
I think I saw him in the prelims and thought it was a bit unfair that he was 4 inches taller than his Algerian competitor. My friend who does taekwondo acknowledged that you want to be tall and skinny, with long legs.
The defending Olympic champion US men's (indoor) volleyball lost in the quarterfinals to Italy.I will be missing out on some hotness.
Kevin: He compared Scott to a disposable feminine cleansing product one might use on a summer's eve.
Meagan: Yeah, and the bag it came in. -The Big Bang Theory, performed by the Canadian WTT team and interpreted by Cyn.

Considering the speed she can zing that ball at, I'm not going to be the one to ask Serena about that one Prancer.![]()
I do get what you mean though and am on the fence about it too. Do we want the best of the best at the Olympics or only the Jr ranked athletes just because they don't rake in the money the likes of Serena and Tiger?
I think that question's never going to be answered to anyone's satisfaction.
Sigh...I see my fear about Simon Whitfield was right. He did break his collarbone when he, in his words, went crowd surfing during his fall the other day.![]()
I don't mind BMX racing being included infact I rather like it but it was at the expense of track cycling who lost two events since the IOC is very wary of including anymore events for sports. I don't mind Tennis being included as to me it is an Olympic sport but I don't get Golf. That sport doesn't have an Olympic vibe to me.
I am excited about Sevens being an Olympic sport in 2016. Not only is it a good medal chance for New Zealand but Fiji and Samoa have been very good in the sport and could win them their first medals at the Olympics. In addition more countries will take the sport seriously and sevens as a whole will become far more competitive.
Ok, enlighten me. What kind of sport is "sevens"? I've never heard of it and the title doesn't exactly lend itself to explanation, lol.
Its a shorter version of Rugby Union. Seven members a side and two seven minute halves.
Ok, I figured it had something to do with rugby since you mentioned NZ, Fiji and Samoa. All I know about rugby I learned from Invictus, for whatever that's worth. :p
I still think the IOC missed out on a major opportunity by not implementing golf in time for London. Isn't GBR known for their awesome golf courses?
I don't feel bad for her at all. Misty May is the only beach volleyball player in the world I can name. Poor what's her name, you know the other one, her partner, also has 3 record breaking ogm, what's her name, I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it. Misty May's partner. Her. Sounds like the Mays were marketing geniuses.![]()
um... Her dad, who played volleyball at the '68 olys, is named Butch.
Eta: and she did change it. The über talented female role model now goes by misty may-penis or misty may-traitor or whatever her "i done landed me a man" new name is. I'm far moreover that than any hippy-dippy first name. I love a good piccabo street or river pheonix or moon Zappa.

Well, she really wanted it.
For some time I thought it wasn't a good idea to have tennis in the Olympics. But most of the players really relish the opportunity to play. I don't see any difference between that and having NBA players in the tournament. Do any of them really need a gold medal?
