It was nice we got some medals away from water cause all the rest were in sailing, swimming, canoing and even triatlon has a swimming part

And Colombia wins another medal, bronze in the taekwondo men's 58 kg division after a very close end, the score was 6/4 but in the last second the guy from Thailand seemed to have score a punch in the head, giving him 3 points and the 7/6 advantage but after reviewing the score it showed the colombian narrowly avoided the kick, then the score didnt proceed and he kept the victory and the medal

This is their 5th overall and still with chances of more medals in the BMX

I think I saw him in the prelims and thought it was a bit unfair that he was 4 inches taller than his Algerian competitor. My friend who does taekwondo acknowledged that you want to be tall and skinny, with long legs.

The defending Olympic champion US men's (indoor) volleyball lost in the quarterfinals to Italy. I will be missing out on some hotness.

Considering the speed she can zing that ball at, I'm not going to be the one to ask Serena about that one Prancer. I do get what you mean though and am on the fence about it too. Do we want the best of the best at the Olympics or only the Jr ranked athletes just because they don't rake in the money the likes of Serena and Tiger?

I think that question's never going to be answered to anyone's satisfaction.

I don't mind BMX racing being included infact I rather like it but it was at the expense of track cycling who lost two events since the IOC is very wary of including anymore events for sports. I don't mind Tennis being included as to me it is an Olympic sport but I don't get Golf. That sport doesn't have an Olympic vibe to me.

I am excited about Sevens being an Olympic sport in 2016. Not only is it a good medal chance for New Zealand but Fiji and Samoa have been very good in the sport and could win them their first medals at the Olympics. In addition more countries will take the sport seriously and sevens as a whole will become far more competitive.

Its a shorter version of Rugby Union. Seven members a side and two seven minute halves.

Ok, I figured it had something to do with rugby since you mentioned NZ, Fiji and Samoa. All I know about rugby I learned from Invictus, for whatever that's worth. :p

I still think the IOC missed out on a major opportunity by not implementing golf in time for London. Isn't GBR known for their awesome golf courses?

I don't feel bad for her at all. Misty May is the only beach volleyball player in the world I can name. Poor what's her name, you know the other one, her partner, also has 3 record breaking ogm, what's her name, I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it. Misty May's partner. Her. Sounds like the Mays were marketing geniuses.

For some time I thought it wasn't a good idea to have tennis in the Olympics. But most of the players really relish the opportunity to play. I don't see any difference between that and having NBA players in the tournament. Do any of them really need a gold medal?
