Of all gold medals GB could have won, I'm actually not fussed about Pendleton missing out. The girl is a drama queen. Chris Hoy

Ah, thanks. Looked at wrong table. So target is 28. Looks like UK will pass that and exceed expectations.

Out of the 10 cycling events GB won 7 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. The only event we did not get a medal in was the womens sprint team event where we did make the final but were DQ'ed!!

Way to go the cycling team - you truely

Sir Chris already in tears on the podium.

Didn't mean to forget them - cycling is such a successful sport in the UK at the moment

Love how Sir Steve Redgrave came down to see this historical moment in UK Olympic sport. when he asked Chris if he was done at the Olympics and when Chris said yes Steve said he was making a comeback

Interesting article about the success of the English County of Yorkshire at the Olympics. Reads:-

London 2012: The Brownlee brothers' double medal win in the triathlon has helped boost their home county of Yorkshire's Olympic credentials pushing it ahead of Australia and Japan.

The Brownlee brothers' double medal win in the triathlon has helped boost their home county of Yorkshire's Olympic credentials.

White rose athletes have been hailed as ''brilliant'' after proud Yorkshire folk pointed out their performances meant the county would rank ahead of countries including Japan and Australia in the medal table.

Today Alistair Brownlee's gold medal-winning performance in the triathlon, combined with his younger brother Jonny's bronze in the same race, helped take the UK's largest county to tenth in the medal rankings.

Competitors from the county have now won five golds, two silvers and three bronzes.

Gary Lineker is a pile of wank as a presenter.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

Somewhere between thunderous applause and dancing in the streets happy. Mexican's appreciate their divers and their long distance runners, but soccer/futbol is it for them.

I was in Mexico City once when Mexico beat the US in one of the World Cup qualifying games and dancing in the streets happy is what I saw.

    This is great for Mexico.

Well I hope they win it all. Nothing at all against Brazil as they will still medal and be so primed for gold in Rio.
