Me too. I wish swimming and gymnastics weren't always held in the first week. I'm so focused on the gymnastics that I'm not able to enjoy the swimming as much I'd like.

I'd rather have Track & Field the first week and swimming the 2nd.

I do like that the event finals in gymnastics is spread out, though. I'm nervous for the U.S. men. Not sure if they will medal.

I'm holding out hope that Sam can squeak onto the VT podium with some good vaults. He's going to need mistakes from multiple people, but he might be the best bet.

Or Leyva on HB, I suppose.

I think the best chance of medals are Leyva and Horton on HB.

I thought they weren't because it took place before both the medley relays and they showed the women's 50 free which preceded it and on other nights, the races were shown in order. Guess they switched things around a bit.

I do wonder in swimming why there isn't a 800m for men or a 1500m for women. Or 50m in the breaststroke, butterfly, or backstroke.

They can do that when it's not live. I hate it but what are you gonna do?

I think there's a really good chance the men won't medal. I don't know much about the men though. I'm hoping that Louis Smith (?) will win the PH gold for Great Britain. It's the pommel horse though so god knows what's going to happen.

I'm nervous for Maroney. I'm afraid that she'll try to get a 10 E score for her Amanar and land on her ass. Plus I'm worried that all the talk of her being a lock will jinx her.

Wrestling starts tomorrow. It will be on MSNBC and on NBC Sports. This year the women join in too. I don't love watching wrestling but the wrestlers and the weightlifters have by far the most emotional reactions to winning.

I keep forgetting Lochte isnt younger than Phelps. Ive been too busy to go into the swim thread and hear other peeps opinions of his performance at tbis Games.
I'm kinda unspoiled tonite. Didnt know about that weird false start in the 1500.

btw how much of Ennis other events were shown at other times?

At least three of them were shown last night.

LOL at how leisurely the 1500 looks--la la la, just taking a nice swim.
