This is not the first Kings on Ice show to have problems recently. There was the mega-show back in December that was canned too.
I think Plushy needs to find himself some new promoters for KOI. It's got the potential to be a great show, but recently it's just been trouble. And I'm sure the last thing he wants is any fans getting ripped off over it.
But I must say the whole thing confuses me. Posters, a ticketer selling tickets, promotion on his official website - someone in his camp definitely thought this was going ahead. I wonder if there was some kind of miscommunication with the venue?
Hope anyone who's bought tickets can get their money back. Or a show goes ahead.
None of that makes sense to me.Plushenko’s agent Ari Zakaryan told R-Sport that he was unaware of tickets being sold and promised to pull advertising for the show from the skater’s website.
“I know that they were planning to do a show and the promoter gives a call to the ticket office and they say they are not selling tickets,” he said.
“The agreement was between me and the promoter and Plushenko has nothing to do with that. I’m his agent and I’m booking his events, that’s all. He’s in training.”
Am I there yet?
I really dont find Zakarian such a great manager to start with, he has done some good shows but he has also done many fouls and is irresponsible.
This one seems to say that there was a "verbal agreement" of sorts, but nothing finalized, and the promoter just jumped the gun on advertising before the contract was complete.

Figure skater Evgeni Plushenko continues to train hard amid crazy rumors
The promoter and agent should work diligently for skater and audienceThe agreement was between Zakarian and the promoter and should not be attributed to Plushenko.
When reached for comment, Zakarian said “There were no tickets to sell, and the ad was only for five days, but the arena could not provide ice time, so what else can I say?”
“Nobody made a penny on this, and there is no scandal. Trust me.”
I guess rumors are always there to cling on successful people
If there were no tickets to sell and no ice time, why was there an add even for one day?
