Think I'm more excited for the event finals than I was for the AA. I am already sending up many prayers that Louis Smith can deliver one more pommel horse routine and Beth can hold it together on bars - although I also want Mustafina & Komova to come away with golds too. Perhaps I should hold out for a three way tie on bars!

Non, who has the best combination of sparkly tears and sequins . I'd rather see Mustafina win bars. I just prefer the flow and composition of her routine. Komova can try and hit beam on Tuesday.

I hate that the UB is the Russians best event because I really want them AND Beth to win gold. But I love the event finals because there can be so many surprises and nothing is set in stone. I wish they were scheduled for today.

I was rooting hard for Tweddle prior to the games but Mustafina is simply gorgeous on bars. Can't decide, just no He Kexin please, talk about labored.

Do Black or Rogers have a chance at a medal realistically? Or do they need everyone else in front of them to screw up royally? Maroney is a lock for gold, I'm just wondering if they can win either silver or bronze?

They have the lowest D scores heading into the final (Black at 11.5, Rogers at 11.4), so they'll need a lot of help to make the podium.

Izbasa may throw the Cheng she has been practicing if Maroney gives her an opening. She is the only one with enough difficulty to challenge if Maroney falls. I doubt she will go for it if Maroney lands both vaults cleanly, it wouldn't matter. Pena has the D score but shouldn't have nearly good enough execution to challenge Maroney unless Maroney has a disaster. Maroney just has to land her vaults and have nothing flukish happen.
