Brigitte Foster-Hylton not advancing to the semi-final eases the pressure to make the final if only ever so slightly

    Borzakovsky out?
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

Yep she does. Love watching her run and hurdle. She is so perfect.

Almost looked like she was floating over the hurdles. Effortless!

Don't want to get too excited yet though...

Glad all the Canadians (minus Labonte) have made it through this morning. Zelinka and George remain our best bets for a medal and the hurdles anything can happen as was evidenced by Foster-Hylton this morning.

I totally disagree. That would be incredible. I hope he gets a relay medal.

If anyone thinks the blades (which as a fluff sequence here pointed out are not the bionic kind that "think" for the person) give him an advantage, the rest of the field is.free to amputate their legs and see how they do.

Well the attitude towards him is not exactly warm and cozy in some corners of the athletics world. There's a reason he had to go to CAS so they would allow him to compete.

Nearly puked last night when a bottle was thrown on the track just as the 100m guys were on set. Hoped it had been the wind, or an accident. Apparently not...I've heard he was American. But he looks Greek to me, with the hoody etc. Him and the mentally ill Irish priest man should be pit in solitary during the Olympics.

Supreme kudos to the dutch Judo gal for sticking him one!

Hey, we have our share of obnoxious drunks at sporting events, but according to that article, he is from Leeds.

Glad Lolo Jones is through. It was so sad when she fell in Beijing.

Another disqualification - Taoufik Makhloufi has been excluded from the Olympic Games for not trying in Monday morning's 800m heat. Word on twitter is that if he can provide a valid medical certificate for pulling up in the 800 he'll be allowed back in the 1500.

BBC just broadcast now that he is out and will not be allowed to take any further part in the Olympics.
