    Women's 400m up now. C'mon Ohuruogu!
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

I remember Sanya from our days in elementary school. I could tell she had it from then :-)

I hope Bolt smashes the record again.

No US men in the 400M final? Wow.

I do like that there are twins competing in it.

    Five men from the Caribbean!

Have to pull for Tyson Gay. He was a Razorback under the great coach John McDonnell.

Still thrilled for Christine; isn't she basically from the Olympic Park?

Is there a special thread for bitching about coverage? The BBC is disappointing. A lot of blabbing and virtually not coverage of the high jump, triple jump, hammer.... really annoying.

Things could be a lot worse - you could be watching NBC. If you want coverage without analysis then I suggest Eurosport.

    Someone's complaining about the BBC?!?!?!?

They're so much better than anything else out there.

You could also watch the event streams at nbcolympics.com. There's no commentary there.

Sure... I don't actually mind the actual analysis, but I do mind the panning shots and endless talking in studio when there is clearly stuff happening on the track.
I guess I'm picky, but I wanted to see the high jump qualifying, at least when no races are happening... we've seen about 10 fluffs about the 100 final (here goes another) and it's not necessary.
