NBC - Last Day - All Day

I thought I would start this as the Basketball game is on NOW. I must have blown the schedule last night.

This is a very physical game. I imagine the NBA owners are at home biting their nails repeating "please dont get hurt" over and over.

Does anyone know if NBC or any other network is planning to show the volleyball final?

Arena playing "Born in the USA"

Americans dancing around, a la Brazilian volleyball players. I've really enjoyed the men's basketball team this time around. They've been happier, smiling, supporting other sports and better sportsman to other basketball teams. Happy they won, and congrats to Spain for putting up a great fight and making it a great game.

I can't remember if it was Sydney or Athens, but there was one iteration of NBA players where I was actively rooting against them because their behavior was so piss-poor.

Yeah, I liked seeing Kobe, LeBron, Kevin, etc. at so many other sports.
I think I will have a snack and take a nap before I eat and go to sleep.

Awww, I liked them linking hands and all stepping on the podium together.

Why do the basketball players not have to wear the ugly grey things?

I'm really not fond of Lebron as a pro player and the nonsense about his move to Miami, but he's been a big proponent of the Olympics and has actively encouraged other players to participate. He's talked a lot about what a great experience it is to be part of the Olympics and meet all the other athletes.

It's on to water polo and rhythm gymnastics! I'll miss all these Oly-themed commercials. Visa still wins on that front--and a big congrats for showing medalists from other countries--but Citibank came close.

Oooo, track and field recap for the fifty thousandth time. Don't they know there are hot men in tiny bandaids trying to drown each other and pretty ribbons swirling to watch?

I like the Croatian underpants. They look like Italian tablecloths.

Rhythmic gymnastics up next on the main NBC network.

    Yes! DAVAII ROSSIYA! FORZA ITALIA!

The ribbons and hoops qualifiers for Russia and Italy were so clearly heads and tails above everyone else. Team is so much better than individual.

I don't think that was as original or in synch as Russia or Italy but I'm loving this competition.

The Bulgarians sure like their poses, don't they? Some really interesting individual pictures and moves, but I'm not sure I liked it as a whole as a competitive routine. Had I seen it in a circus show, I'd be yelling and screaming and on my feet.
