No - I get that. But in men's gymnastics, Kyle Shewfelt submitted it and got it named after him, but you don't hear any men talk about doing a Shewfelt vault. Granted, not many of them do that vault. But it's still weird.

Ferrari - lots of little steps on her landing.

What is with the shoulder cutouts on her leotard?

If Komova hits on bars, she'll make up the 1/2 point deficit.

Can you try and just fight for once Komova? Good attempt but her body language don't let it affect the rest of your comp! Great starts for both Gabby and Aly

If you follow Aly, Jordyn, and McKayla on instagram, it is pretty clear that those three are especially close.

Well, Vika can make that up on Bars but she can't afford more mistakes.

Are you actually watching this time? Because last time you wondered this and had to retract.

I shouldn't feed the beast, but what the hell. Raisman's vault had more height and especially distance than Gabby's, so that would have partially offset the messier form.

I'm glad you did, actually. I was so nervous I could only manage to pay attention to their landings.

I think it's way too early to count out Komova. She can pick up points on bars and you never know what will happen with the other girls.

    Good vault for Mustafina....

15.233? I figured it would be higher - did she have a lower D value?

That is the ridiculousness of it.

I honestly think everybody says Amanar because it is a mouthful to say, "Two-and-a half twisting Yurchenko". In English, even saying a one-and-a half twisting Yurchenko is easier although the word and letter count is the same.
I am in the K&C at the 1980 Olympics telling Frank Carroll he will have a male skater from KAZ with a 4T, 3A-3T and a World Silver going into the 2014 Olympics ...
