I like Mustafina's leotard. And Deng's was a pretty color. The rest are kind of meh. The U.S. ones are a nice color but the bedazzling was overdone.

I think it's way too early to count out Komova. She can pick up points on bars and you never know what will happen with the other girls.

She's not the best of fighters... But this will test her. I actually maybe feel a bit of relief....

Question: On floor these days many girls (and men) are doing little leaps at the ends of their tumbling passes. I know that these days the girls are being encouraged not to take that backward step like they used to. So, are these little leaps choreographed into the routine becuase it is harder to stick a landing??

It's like the quad controversy in skating. But, it seems to me that, even amongts the Amanars, you don't see that wide of a range in scores. Maroney's scores the other night wasn't all that much higher than others who were doing Amanars.

Can I say amen. I actually heard someone say Mustafina isn't a true AA anymore because she only does a DTY. Now Mustafina does 5 tenths more difficulty than Douglas on bars, so is Douglas not a true AA due to bars.

The Amanar is going down by 5 tenths supposedly and I say thank goodness. Its one skill and should not be the be end end all.

I much prefer this DTY from Aliya to that dangerous Amanar that nearly destroyed her career.

Pretty much yeah.

Those little leaps can do a lot to disguise landing errors.

You get some kind of bonus for them too.
