How can Leyva have to climb over 3 gymnasts when there are only 2 gymnasts left in the competition now that Orosco's been eliminated?

I was discussing the gymnastics event with someone who would be NBC's target demographic: not a hard core fan, just likes to tune in for the Olympics. He was seriously confused with the stupid traffic signal scoring so it's not like that's only a fail for us hard core types.

And tonight John Orosco seems to have received the NBC penalty that makes gymnasts suddenly disappear in the middle of the event... which of course means that we're down to 2 gymnasts competing.

And John had a very good competition after the PH. I wanted to see him redeem himself.

This whole comeback angle might have been more dramatic if they'd actually given a sense of how far behind Leyva was. Like, oh, at least maybe flash some standings?

I saw Orosco in the background a bit ago. I'm so confused. I thought he was eliminated. Well, it's nice that they allow the eliminated gymnasts to stay in the arena. Along with the people who do stuff on rings.
