    Women's Gymnastics - Team Final

I apologise for starting this thread so early but it's my birthday and I should be allowed to do whatever I want!

My present? Tickets for my sister and I to go and watch this live! I'm a lucky boy.

So the very day we have predicted, discussed, speculated and bitched about for years is finally here!

    Here's how it goes:

    16:30 GMT

    Qualification results:

    1. USA 181.863
    2. Russia 180.429
    3. China 176.637
    4. Romania 176.264
    5. Great Britain 170.656
    6. Japan 170.196
    7. Italy 168.397
    8. Canada 167.696

    Rotation One:

    USA/Russia - Vault
    China/Romania - Bars
    GB/Japan - Beam
    Italy/Canada - Floor

Following on in Olympic order (V,UB,B,FX)

    Remember; three up, three count!

    I'm excited!

I hope all teams do. There was a serious "No, you take the medals, no you do" going on last night.

I really hope they all do their best if only not to have the discussions later "If XY hadn't fallen of the beam YZ would have WON!"

No you're not. Thread closed. Happy birthday!
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

Preparing to watch a stream from somewhere for a bit, then I have to go to work and get through with quick hits sporadically looked at during breaks. :-(

Ack, that seems like tempting fate by flaunting the SI jinx.

I think it's for marketing, I would've preferred the flag Leo as well. But hey it's the gymnastics that matters, at least they aren't baked potatoes or starfish!

For the astrology fans among us. apparently Mercury is in Retrograde for this entire Olympics! This explains why so many odd occurrences and unexpected results have taken place

I hope everyone competes well and there are no missed connections, grave errors or disasters. Please let there be no SI cover jinx for the US ladies. I also hope the Russians do very well.

What? it's the Olympics, I am allowed my Pagan rituals and superstitions.

Missed connections I can deal with. Grave errors not so much.

i think i would like komova more if she didnt frequently look like she was on the verge of tears.
I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!

The Brits win my vote for best dressed. Lovely leo in qualifying and now in team final.
