Can I ask a question - it's way too late to be noticing this but - is there some reason Klimova/Ponomarenko were not included in this poll?
    Vainly hoping for Khokhlova/Volobuev

Like several other "elimination" games in the Trash Can, this series of polls concerned the twelve most recent Olympic and/or World champions in a particular discipline. FSU polls allow for a maximum of twelve options; for K/P to be included, there would have to be fourteen.

Had to vote for Grishuk and Platov in spite of the fact that I prefer Krylova and Ovsiannikov

I think D&W are going to win in Sochi, although I'd be fine with V&M winning again too. But G&P also have an Olympic bronze from '92.

No, they haven't. They were 4th in '92, U/Z got the bronze.

Just to be clear, are we voting for who we want to win here or who we want to be the last voted off?

Welcome and no need to be sorry .
But I think U/Z were better that year, and we know what happened in '94, where U/Z were kinda robbed IMO.

That said, I voted for G/P here. Their Olympic record is unmatched.

I've been gone for two weeks, but I'm SHOCKED that Anissina/Peizerat aren't in the top two considering their popularity here.
