I don't think Izbasa's Mustafina vault was only .2 lower than the one Maroney did today, Maroney had a vault that was at least .2 better in the air and a cleaner landing. Whatever though I guess it doesn't matter.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, how are you getting access to Shannon's commentary? Shannon was always such a perfectionist that I would guess that she's got a great handle on scoring, but is also able to appreciate and discuss form and artistry.

She should be doing the NBC primetime commentary. At least she wouldn't feel the need to "educate" the viewing audience on what a hit routine means or what it means to stick.

Shannon's doing commentary on the online stream at the nbcolympics site, along with a Brit dude. She's light years better than the terrible trio.

There needs to be a letter-writing campaign to have her replace elfi and/or tim (ditching Al Fishwig is a given).

I am watching NBCOlympics LiveExtra main feed on my laptop. Shannon is commentating and I get zero commercials. The event feeds don't have commentary.

And what is also nice about Shannon, as someone said upthread, is that she if flag blind. No overt nationalism from her, no sirree.
