Ah the fabulousness of Lyudmila Pakhomova! You youngsters don't remember her, but millions do! Too soon gone at 39.

She is truly among the stars.

A minor planet 3231 Mila, discovered by Soviet astronomer Lyudmila Zhuravlyova in 1972 is named after her.[5]

Pakhomova was a DIVA -- I love watching her! And she's a pioneer of sorts in that she and Gorshkov won the first ever Ice Dance Olympic Gold Medal. They definitely should stay for another round.

    Absolutely!

I'd vote off Grishuk & Platov before Pakhomova & Gorshkov.

I voted for Pakhomova & Gorshkov. As great as she was, he was an incredibly weak skater and that kind of ruined them as a team for me somewhat.

I'm guilty of voting off Pakhomova and Gorshkov because I've never seen them.. plus I can't vote A&P off yet..

I like to think that Pakhomova's stupendous diva-ness was more than enough to compensate for any and all of Gorshkov's shortcomings.

But the "third leg" kind of male partner was what was the done thing at the time; Gorshkov was no weaker than any of the others.
