I sure sounded like it to me. I realized that I really liked the person commentating and then recognized the voice as Terry Gannon.

There are three gold medalists on that court; of course they're going to show the match. These are people the average American have heard of. It's a sport most Americans are at least semi-familiar with.

All of that is perfectly rational. But I've been up for 22 hours (if I've calculated the time zones correctly), so I'm not exactly thinking rationally right now. (And posting in this thread is the alternative that might help me stay awake)

NBC online showed everything today. If you have cable or satellite, it's all available. In fact, you can watch two events at once.

yeah, but if you don't there is no way to get coverage at all. There is no option to pay for internet coverage, for example. The day long coverage was extremely confusing- we saw the same swimming race three times, it was tough to tell what was happening when.


I was really excited because rowing was listed on the TV guide- but we saw a total of one race (men's 8). The DVR cut out a little bit this morning- so maybe that was when it happened? We put an external hard drive on it, so now we can tape 150 hours before it cuts off, so it won't happen again.

Waiting until 8 (central) to start watching prime time- we don't watch any political commercials, they ruin the Olympics, so I need a buffer.
