    This is highly confusing.

Misty May and Kerri Walsh both getting hyphenated makes talking about them a lot more work.

I just don't get it. Volleyball...but in a sandy pit!

    Someone should develop mud volleyball.

I sure sounded like it to me. I realized that I really liked the person commentating and then recognized the voice as Terry Gannon.

All of that is perfectly rational. But I've been up for 22 hours (if I've calculated the time zones correctly), so I'm not exactly thinking rationally right now. (And posting in this thread is the alternative that might help me stay awake)

Ah, Ryan Lochte, cute but dumb.

I don't find Lochte nearly so attractive anymore. He almost made Phelps sound coherent.

I love how NBC tried to make this "live", like we missed 13 points "during the commercial break."

yeah, but if you don't there is no way to get coverage at all. There is no option to pay for internet coverage, for example. The day long coverage was extremely confusing- we saw the same swimming race three times, it was tough to tell what was happening when.

I was really excited because rowing was listed on the TV guide- but we saw a total of one race (men's 8). The DVR cut out a little bit this morning- so maybe that was when it happened? We put an external hard drive on it, so now we can tape 150 hours before it cuts off, so it won't happen again.

Waiting until 8 (central) to start watching prime time- we don't watch any political commercials, they ruin the Olympics, so I need a buffer.

They did that with the parade of nations last night. Like no. You're not fooling anyone.

I saw a ton of rowing today on NBC Sports.

Cook vs May vs Treanor is an awesome match. Three fantastic players.

Day one and I'm already sick of beach volleyball. Why couldn't Misty have stayed retired?

So what is the deal with beach volleyball players now wearing more clothes? I gather there was some kind of rule change, but what initiated it?
