It's either a very big ice rink, or there's a lake under there.

Shanteau didn't qualify in the breast.

And Natalie not in the relay finals!

    Meh.

Shanteau. I'm sad he won't get any finals this year. That will mean that Hansen will swim the medley relay final for the USA.

Australia gold, Netherlands silver and USA bronze

What the heck they were thinking with Lia Neil???? to give a chance to the 'first african american swimmer to swim in the olympic relay??' very unwise decision to take Coughlin out of the relay, bad this was a very oppotunity for them and they only bronze

Though the favourites were the Netherlands, good for Australia they capitalize on the bad decisions of the USA team and the below the par performance of Netherlands

That was not a very good anchor leg for the USA.

I don't get Lia Neil instead of Coughlin. I really don't. Oh well. Didn't Coughlin have the fatest time during preliminaries?!

    They got what they deserved.

Urm. Do you mean woman? Because otherwise that's not even factual. And, I'm sure, not why they did it either way.

is it just me, or are some swimmers better at pointing their toes than most gymnasts these days?

Agree. Bad coaching decision, at least based on what we know.

Yes I meant obviously considering it was the race of the women relay

In 2008 it worked with Cullen Jones the storyline and puting him on the relay but back then he also was behind the french when Jason Lezak pulled that epic win

But today I dont want to point her but I think she lost if not the gold a big chance for it, and therefore even the silver, Missy Franklin did her best swam a good 53.50 something opening the relay and the girls keep it with the australians until the relay got to Neil
