That sucks. I would have given anything to be able to attend some of these events.

And it's official: Great Britain wins the subdivision over China by nearly 3 points. The unpredictability of this event right off the bat is amazing.

Sitting up in the middle of the night from the West Coast of the US desperately following this thread. Love how the Opening Ceremony had the inventor of the interwebs type "THIS IS FOR EVERYONE". Looks like they didn't have enough stadium space to continue the message " ... if you're in Europe where coverage is good, or if you pay out of the nose for equipment and subscriptions ..."

I hope that a range of countries and the best routines are shown on my broadcast. Unlikely though.

Wow! Just logged in to check results on subdivision 1 before watching subdivision 2, and completely surprised by the results! I would *never* have predicted China in second place! Congratulations Great Britain!

I fully expect a distaster for China in gymnastics. Every time they have a glorious gymnastics, they more than pay it back in the next one (2000 great, 2004 poor; 2008 spectacular, 2012 -- I'd say )

It's a combination of pressure, not having hometown advantage/momentum, and overall change in China (there was a WSJ the other day about this).

They showed an interview with the Irish guy on TV here in Australia. Wow he has been through quite a lot in his life.

    Hee hee hee! So true.

I'm nervous for Orozco. And I cannot wait for Uchimura.

    So exciting!

I picked Japan or the US to win the mens. Maybe that wasn't such a crazy prediction.
