It's either a very big ice rink, or there's a lake under there.

You actually got me curious enough to go to the archery coverage. Was watching Mexico v. Italia until the feed went dead. Now I'm all like, "I MUST SEE THIS!" [Mex-i-co, Mex-i-co, Mex-i-co ...]

Right, I need to get away from the TV and PC combo for a bit!

It's a bit surprising, certainly. He had the 10th best time in the world this year but at least one of the people ahead of him on the list is not in London.

The USA women's basketball team is not in any way demonstrating that they're supposedly very good.

As a Syracuse fan, I still haven't decided if I'm rooting for the UConn All Stars or against them.

I just love how he always shows his emotions and he really seems like a loyal guy. I truly think he's more upset when he feels he lets his team down than for himself.

Indeed. Cav says "Gutted. After 250km, less than a minute to 20guys. My guys were INCREDIBLE & there was nothing more we could do. Victims of our own success. " and "4 heroes in @bradwiggins, @millarmind, @chrisfroome & @IStannard. Rode, with the weight of a nation, until exhaustion. So proud. " and "Also, very proud to be British today. The support along the whole 250km was beyond belief. Absolutely incredible. Thank you to everyone. " on twitter. I'm guessing he's referring to the fact that other sprint teams didn't do as much to help them because no one wanted to bring Cav to the line as far as "victims of our own success" goes.

Millar says "We did what we'd planned. Cav had the legs to go with the attacks on the last climb but trusted our ability to bring it home. Gutted. " and I mentioned Wiggo's tweet above.

It's amazing how quickly I can get *into* rooting for somebody. I'm all waaah that the cute Mexican guys didn't medal.

This is the fun of the OOOOOs - watching the more "obscure"/unhyped sports.

But yikes, I need to tear myself away from all this to do moving-related stuff.

Since Ireland won't win any medals till next week (if at all ), I'll for Japan for the time being.

This archery is exciting. Is this the curling of the summer olympics?

I was going to say something, but I didn't want you to compare me to that awful comedian again.
