    does anyone know if there is live streaming in the US for the opening ceremonies? the nbcolympics website doesn't seem to carry it.

    Watched NBC Today show this morning, and everything is looking fabulous! I can't wait for the opening ceremonies tonight. I'm so anxious to see what's in store. It's supposed to be spectacular if everything goes well (whatever that means).

    I'm going to watch fencing, gymnastics, volleyball, swimming, syncronized swimming, soccer and weightlifting. I'll probably watch both NBC Sports and MSNBC online while I'm watching NBC on TV. I definitely have to see Kendrick Farris (weightlifting). He's from Shreveport and has a good chance to medal. He placed 8th at the Beijing Olympics:

    NBC will not be streaming it. There may be a less than legal stream somewhere but I wouldn't know where, unfortunately.

    According to the schedule on my local NBC station (channel 6, KTAL Shreveport) the opening ceremonies will begin live at 6:30 p.m. (central). Check your local station in your area because it is being televised live in my area.

    ETA because I just realized it's regarding live streaming. Sorry.

    If it's starting at 6:30pm in Louisiana then it's not live.
