what an amazingly epic match point!
    kudos to Tsonga

Stupid questions by the court: "Was that more of a mental or physical victory?"

During Venus/Canadian Woz match, he said something to the effect of Woz's crowd support the result of Canada being "part of the kingdom".

And British lady announcer didn't miss a beat and said "Commonwealth".

This is shallow, but why is the Spanish player wearing black and the Polish girls wearing blue? Yellow/red is an ugly combination but at least wear one of them!

Maybe there are so many countries with red/white/yellow in their flags that they thought they should be different?

Personally I was scratching my head at the pink *bow(???)* on the back of the Radwanska's dress.

Venus loses to Kerber 7-6, 7-6. It was an amazingly tight match, and Venus had so many chances in the 2nd set to go up two breaks, but couldn't convert. Then she double-faulted to give Kerber two match points. Kerber played so consistent, and really exploited Venus's serving weakness.

Sad for Venus to be out in singles, hopefully she can continue on in doubles!

Not surprised about Venus. She's had her health issue lately and is doing as well as she can under the circumstances.

Federer/wawrinka lost? ouch. But they won last time, so i'm not too sad for them.

Great match between Sharapova and Lisicki. I thought Lisicki would pull it out, but Sharapova just was too determined, and really upped her game in the 3rd set. Very impressive. Bring on the the quarters!

This match-up tore me to pieces! I hate when I love both teams and one has to lose......

It was a hell of a match! Neck-and-neck the entire way thru!

    Both teams deserve

    Kirilenko beats Kvitova
Maria K is one of the most underrated players on the tour IMO.

And Huber/Bryan got upset by Lisicki/Kas.
I despise Huber, so good riddance
