Serena wipes the floor with generation suck again. She may be way passed her best, but she is still way too good for this most useless of all generations. Well done Serena. She becomes only the second player of all time to win all 4 slams and an olympic gold medal. Its hardly her fault that its been so easy for her. She can only beat the opposition that is front of her. Opposition! How can it be called 'opposition'? A better word would be lapdogs

And there it is - amazing victory. I would love her to take this form into the US Open and get back to #1 in the world as she is without the best womens player in the world at the moment!!

And I forgot Venus already had a GM in singles - now they have a matched pair

Serena matched Venus with her fifth singles title at Wimbledon, and now she matches her with a singles OGM, twelve years after Venus did it!

It's really fitting to see the best 3 female players and this years' slam winners as the Olympic podium.

and they all wanted to be there , they look genuinely happy to have won a medal. I give a lot of credit for likes of Serena and Venus for coming back again and again to Olympics and giving the tournament the respect it deserves.

    Fergus, remember to breathe!!

I was watching Trampoline, but between the Q rounds and the Finals, I was checking out what was going on over at Centre Court. Flipped it in time to see Gold Medal Point and Serena's Victory Dance.

She was just ecstatic and full of joy and after all she went through health wise a year and a bit ago, Serena has every right to be.

    Congratulations to Serena!!

Jeez, I sprouted about 1/2 a dozen grey chest hairs during that last game.

Mike rushes his serve far too often.
