It seems so brutal to have to do a bronze medal match -- if you lose the semi to get into the gold medal match, then lose the bronze medal match, that must be so devastating!

Yeah when tennis was first brought back to the Olympics in 1988 they had joint bronze medallists, so if you lost in the semis you tied for bronze. I guess the IOC made them change that - they don't like ties. Originally Posted by hydro

It will be a good clash against Sharapova, at least on paper it seems but Serena is just unbeliavable at this Olympics, a rematch of that Wimbledon final between them.
