I promise, I watched them lineup and salute at beam. Ross immediately jumped on then was followed by Douglas, Wieber, and Raisman in that order. They then did full runthroughs in that same order.

This is what I saw as well. Gabby looked great first time through except leg up on FTB, but fell second time through, was way off center in BHS series. Raisman so effing solid.

Maroney's vaults certainly seemed sloppier than usual but I suppose that isn't too surprising since she hasnt done much of anything for at least 2 days. Has anyone noticed how she has ALWAYS taken a big step or hop forward on her Amanar this year? I don't think she has done it with less than a .3 landing deduction even once. Last year she was constantly doing it with only small steps or hops, often only .1 deductions. I am surprised she hasn't honed in on the landing yet but maybe they would prefer to take the deduction rather than risk injury trying to stick. She can certainly afford it.

Sounds like a mess from Komova but not bad from Mustafina:

4:41 p.m.: Viktoria Komova, floor: 1.5 to Arabian double front, lands both feet OOB, connected well to single stag however. Double tuck. Jazzy beginning to her music before we get a taste of Queen followed by some electric guitar. Odd choice for Komova, most people feel. Triple full to standing back tuck. No bounce out of the triple full. Hands down on double pike -- didn't have the energy or the will.

4:39 p.m.: Aliya Mustafina leads off on floor for Russia. Arabian double front to single stag. Gets lots of height on the double Arabian so she can land it softly on her knee, I feel. Connected well to single stag. 2.5 to front tuck full. 1.5 to front layout full. Triple full to end, legs very crossed in the air and a bit bent, but she's doing what she can.

Why is Komova such a quitter? I hate it and it makes it hard to root for her because I know she will only try if everything is going perfectly for her and that is not what a true champion does.

Is anyone else able to get Twitter to work? It will not open for me.

They make it sound like Komova landed the double arabian OOB and still did the stag. Is that allowed? Would the connection even be given if you do something off of the mat? Never thought of that situation before.
